Raymond C. Brand, 78 of Dayton died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Elms at Cranbury. Born in New York City, he was a resident of Old Bridge for 23 years before moving to Dayton 25 years ago. He was a United States Air Force Staff Seargent serving during the Korean War. Raymond retired with over 15 years of service as clerk with the United States Postal Service. Previously he was employed by TRW as an auto parts salesman and district manager. Ray was a member of the Knights of Columbus, council # 4907, Spotswood receiving his 3rd Degree. Son of the late Edmund and Julia S. Vigh Brand, brother of the late Walter R. Brand, he is survived by his life partner Ruth Bernstein, 3 daughters Denise L. Brand-Tierney, Michele Cabrera, Stephanie Brand, his brother Robert L. Brand and his previous wife Joan Brand. The Funeral Service will be 9:00 am on Friday, May 3, 2013 from the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Friday, 10:00 am St. Cecilia's Church 10 Kingston lane Monmouth Junction. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Friends may call on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 5-9 pm at the funeral home.
