Margaret Julia Rathnum, 92, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Park Place Center, Monmouth Junction. Born in Georgetown, British Guiana (Guyana), she emigrated to Queens, New York in 1957 and resided in Queens Village for 30 years before moving to Princeton in 2006. Margaret retired in1985 as an Executive Assistant with the New York Theological Seminary and was involved with fund-raising for the Seminary until 1993. Daughter of the late Henry and Vida Wickham Barrow and wife of the late Gideon Rathnum, she was predeceased by her two sisters and three brothers. Margaret is survived by her daughters Marlene and Yvonne Rathnum, grandsons David and Christopher Franklin and several nieces and nephews. Margaret's family wishes to thank everyone at Buckingham Place (Brandywine) and Park Place Center for their excellent care, kindness and affection shown to her during her years in New Jersey. Services were private under the direction of the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home.
