Muriel A Rusciano, 93 of Plainsboro, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro surrounded by her loving family. Born in North Bergen, she was a resident of Highland Park from 1953 until 2005. Muriel along with her husband Sylvester (Sal) owned and operated the Rusciano Funeral Home in Highland Park for over 50 years. She was an auxiliary member and a volunteer at JFK Medical Center for 25 years, a member of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church and the Highland Park Lions Women's Auxiliary, a Columbiette, and a Past President of St. Paul's School PTA. Muriel enjoyed spending time with her family at her home on the Jersey Shore. Daughter of the late Cademon and Emma (Sica) DeSocio, wife of the late Sylvester C. Rusciano, she is survived by her daughter Carol Ann, her son Robert and his wife Margaret, and two grandchildren Bryan and Megan. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, 190 Sanford Street, New Brunswick. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Friends may call on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 2-5 pm at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction.
