Obituary of Luis C. Collazo
Luis C. Collazo, 81, of Dayton entered into the presence of the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center of Plainsboro surrounded by his loving family. Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico he was a longtime resident of Dayton. Luis retired in 1998 with 37 years of service as the Deputy Superintendent with the New York City Transit Authority. He was an active member of Hosanna South Brunswick Church.
Son of the late Andres and Ramona Collazo, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Iris (Miranda) Collazo, three daughters, two sons in law: Pastors Caroline and Ozzie Gonzalez, Kathleen Collazo, Pastors Francine and Phil Espinell. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren Emmanuel, Joshua, Catherine, Justin, Philip, Madeline, Sarah, Elijah; and four great grandchildren Edward, Penelope, Ethan and Scarlett; and four sisters Mildred Nimphius, Aida Lopez, Maria Gonzalez, Pura Collazo, along with several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hosanna South Brunswick Church, 115 Sand Hills Road, Monmouth Junction.
The memorial Service will begin at 8:00 pm at the church.
The burial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Hosanna South Brunswick Church with the burial to follow in the Dayton Cemetery, Dayton.
