Obituary of Kenneth A. Bembenek

Kenneth Adolph Bembenek died at home in Dayton, NJ on January 11, 2023. Mr. Bembenek was born in Camden, NJ to Adolph Stephen Bembenek and Lucille Esther Bembenek (nee Serba). Mr. Bembenek graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He attained a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the Medical School of the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. There he met his future wife, Anne Rowley of Toronto, Canada. They were happily married for 44 years in Dayton, NJ. Mr. Bembenek was a member of St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Dayton for 44 years. He spent his career as a chemist at Bristol Myers Squibb. He is survived by his two daughters, Christine Allison Gray and husband Ronald of Flagstaff, AZ, and Jacqueline Louise Santana and husband James of Portland, OR; four grandchildren, Asa, Nicholas, Cora, and John; his sister, Luanne Kronawitter of Mt. Laurel, NJ; his brother, Dr. Garrett S. Bembenek and wife Beth of Manheim, PA; and many nephews and nieces. Mr. Bembenek was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Bembenek; his sister, Charlene Bembenek of Mt. Laurel, NJ; and his brother-in-law, Herbert Kronawitter of Mt. Laurel, NJ.    


 Family and friends may gather on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 9:40am until 10:30am at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, 10 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ.
