Obituary of Paul J. Low-Beer
Paul Jan Low-Beer, age 96 of Plainsboro, NJ, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center of Trenton, NJ.
Born in Vrchlabi, Czech Republic, Paul was a loving husband, father of two, grandfather of six, and great-grandfather of 5 (not counting the many furry grandchildren spanning several households). He was employed by Exxon Corporation as an engineer for over 30 years where he developed several patents. Paul was an avid traveler and spent much of his retirement abroad and playing bridge, a game that he achieved the rank of Life Master. A former baker, he loved many sweets and treats, especially Poppy Seed pockets and, most of all, pistachio ice cream. Paul also was a lover of all animals, big and small, with a particular penchant for elephants and slipping little snacks to the multiple dogs in his life.
Paul is predeceased by his, parents Alfred and Franziska (Morawetz) Low-Beer, first wife of over 40 years, Renate Low-Beer, his brother Maximilian Low-Beer, and two sisters, Erika and Manuela Low-Beer. He is survived by his wife of over 25 years, Deana (Chu) Low-Beer; sons Alfred and his wife Maureen (McDonough) Low-Beer of Kendall Park, NJ, and their children William and Kyle; Frank and his wife Eva (Reder) Low-Beer of Kingston, NJ, and their children Brian and his wife Nicole (Cason) of PA as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Joshua, Hayleigh, Ethan, Madison, and Isabella; Nickolas Low-Beer, Katrina Low-Beer and husband Jonathan (Bellizio) of Long Valley, NJ, and Timothy Low-Beer of Saranac Lake, NY; sister-in-law Vera Low-Beer of Augsburg, Germany.
A Visitation will be held from 3-5PM and 7-9PM on Monday, December 26, 2022 and from 10-11AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at MJ Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction 08852. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at MJ Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction 08852. Burial to follow immediately afterwards in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
