Obituary of Barbara McCluskey

Barbara D. McCluskey, 86, of Plainsboro, NJ, passed away on October 30, 2022.

Barbara was born in Irvington, NJ, to Edward and Agnes Drumm. She graduated from the College of Saint Elizabeth in Madison, NJ, where she remained an active alumna, and worked as a computer programmer at Bell Laboratories, first in Whippany, NJ, and then Murray Hill, NJ. She was also a devoted mother.

Away from work and family, Barbara stayed very active. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, traveling, and especially playing bridge, which she did in many different groups over the years. She also cherished indoor and especially outdoor concerts, which she frequently attended with her husband, Owen. 

Predeceased by her parents Edward and Agnes (Moertl) Drumm, her brother James Drumm and husband Owen J. McCluskey, she is survived by her daughter Maura Gonzalez and her husband Eladio and son Neal McCluskey and his wife Julia; four grandchildren, Catherine and Clare Gonzalez and Iona and Nathanael McCluskey; and sister in law Gerri Drumm. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:30 am at the Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 16 Dey Rd., Plainsboro, NJ 08536 followed by Entombment at Holy Cross Burial Park, Jamesburg.
