Obituary of Deacon Luis Sabino Moral
Deacon Luis Sabino Moral, 85, of Dayton, NJ passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2022. Born in Havana, Cuba, he married his high school sweetheart Josefa in 1963 before immigrating to the United States in 1967.
Luis called Astoria, Queens home for 20 years, where he established his community of friends and family that were so dear to him before moving to East Brunswick in 1987. Having graduated with his Doctorate in Pharmacy from Havana University, Luis worked in the Personal Care and Cosmetic industry for over 30 years as a Formulation Chemist. Luis was ordained a Deacon in the Diocese of Metuchen in 1989, serving both the English and Hispanic communities until he retired (St. Cecilia, Monmouth Junction).
The biggest joy of his life was his family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart and he would light up when he heard them call for Abuelo. He was always present in their lives, whether it was picking them up from school or watching a game from the sidelines.
Predeceased by his parents Sabino and Nieves (Acosta) Moral; he is survived by his wife Josefa (Delgado) Moral; daughter and son-in-law Ana and Charles Aymes; grandsons Edward and Phillip Aymes; and brother and sister-in-law Rogelio and Alejandrina Moral.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10-11am at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park, NJ 08824. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
