Obituary of Howard E. Keller
Howard E. Keller, 82, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born in New Brunswick, NJ on February 26, 1940, to Everett C. and Anna E. Keller, Howard moved to North Brunswick in 1953 and attended Linwood Middle School and then New Brunswick High School, graduating in 1957.
Working as a plumber from 1965 until his retirement in 2000, Howard was a proud life member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 9 for 57 years. He also served as a volunteer member of the North Brunswick Fire Department in the 1960’s and early 70’s. He was also a proud life member of the National Geographic Society.
In 1973 Howard moved to Griggstown, NJ, where he resided for the rest of his life. Howard enjoyed automobile racing, traveling to historic locations, and he was an avid reader of literature and history, as well as being a fan of the game show Jeopardy.
Howard was predeceased by his parents, Everett C. Keller and Anna E. Keller, (Callaway) and his nephew, Richard Keller. He is survived by his brothers, Everett C. Keller II, John Keller and his wife, Sue, and William Keller and his wife, Bunny. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, John Keller II, Everett C. Keller III, James Keller, Catherine Sweeney, William Keller, Mary Anne Keller, Howard Keller, Kristina Wetter, and Larissa Keller.
The funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 7th at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road, at New Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ. Burial will follow at Van Liew Cemetery, 585 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ. The viewing will be held on Thursday, October 6 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
