Obituary of Catherine Harvey

Catherine (Kate) Harvey, 87 of Kendall Park died Sunday July 10, 2022 in her home.  She was born July 29, 1934, in Elmhurst, NY.  She graduated Bishop McDonnell H.S. and worked at Atena Life Insurance Company until she married Frank Harvey.  Kate lived in her home in Kendall Park for sixty-four years.  Kate was a full-time home maker and enjoyed being “room mother” when her children attended Cambridge School.

Kate is predeceased by her parents Helen and James Kahn, brother Art Kahn., and 2 grandchildren Robin and Timothy.  She is survived by her sister Helen Costa, three sons and daughter-in-law’s Frank and Nancy Harvey, James and Gretchen Harvey, and Raymond and Susan Hurley, two daughters Catherine Cousin and Michelle Lawrence, 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her 29 cherished grand children are Kelly, Chris, Kathy, Meghan, Bob, Mike, Carol, Kerri, Jill, Kevin, Dave, Cristy, Brian, Nicole, Ashley, Jim, Keith, Cassie, Taylor, Mallory, and Hellana.

Kate would always say “Family is what it is all about and she and Frank were very proud of their family”.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday July 13, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church 45 Henderson Rd. Kendall Park, NJ 08824. Calling hours will be held Wednesday July 13, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Rd. Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
