Eleanor D. Brasefield, 79, of East Windsor died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton with family by her side. Born in Easton, PA., she resided in Wilson, PA before moving to New Jersey and settling in as a long time Hightstown resident. Eleanor retired after 30 years of service as a school bus driver with East Windsor Regional School District. She cared and loved for each student on her bus as if they were her own child. She was a liaison and would negotiate with the union representing the bus drivers. Prior to driving a school bus, she worked as a teachers-aide at the Walter C. Black School. She loved time with family and friends: camping, at the beach, and in the ocean. She enjoyed watching football and was a die-hard Eagles fan.
Daughter of the late Samuel and Estella (Stem) Sebring, mother of the late Ronald R. Brasefield, mother-in-law of the late Lynn Brasefield, grandmother of the late baby David Hutchinson, and great-grandmother of the late baby Nugget Brasefield. She is survived by her partner of 40 years Mary Brady of East Windsor, NJ, son Robert E. Brasefield of Chesilhurst, NJ, a daughter and son in law Janice E. and John Hutchinson, Jr. of Monmouth Junction, NJ, a brother and sister in law Ronald and Marti Sebring of Easton, PA, 4 grandchildren Marc A. Brasefield and his wife Chelsea, Danielle E. Hutchinson, Dillon L. Brasefield and his partner Kaitlynn, and Matthew J. Hutchinson, 2 great grandchildren Avion R. Brasefield and Dahlia L. Brasefield. She also had many family and friends who loved her and will miss her.
A memorial service will be held 11am on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Griggstown Reformed Church at 1065 Canal Road, Princeton, NJ 08540.
There will be a private graveside burial. Arrangements are under the direction of the MJ Murphy Funeral Home, Monmouth Junction.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: American Heart Association
