Obituary of Stanley R. Dunay
Stanley Robert Dunay, 79, of Kendall Park, NJ passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at RWJ University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Stanley relocated with his family to Edison, New Jersey at a young age, later graduating from Edison High School. After high school Stanley joinced the Air Force, based out of Amarillo, Texas. Stanley was employed for 48 years at Bristol Myers Squibb, New Brunswick.
Stanley found peace while on his nature walks and while raising many birds with his wife Carol throughout the years. He enjoyed bicycling and exploring the architecture and beauty of local churches on his many adventures. With an eclectic taste, Stan was a fan of all music, loving everything from his Granddaughter’s viola concerts to some of his favorite bands like The Beatles and Steely Dan. He was an avid fan of youth sports, rooted for Rutgers, USA soccer and later in life became a fan of Liverpool FC. Throughout his life Stanley frequently took the train or bus into NYC to see live music, explore Central Park and the enjoy excitememnt of city life.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol Ann (nee Martin); his children Kimberly Ann Mignella (Craig) and Mark Allen Dunay; his granddaughter, Madison Mignella; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gregg Dunay (Laura) and Brian (Awilda).
He is predeceased by his sister Carolee Burke, and his brothers Richard, Scott and Kevin Dunay.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction. Funeral Services for Stanley will be held on Friday at 10:00am at the funeral home followed by interment at Saint Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
