Obituary of Margaret Ann Wright
Margaret Ann Wright, 88, of Highland Park passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Elms of Cranbury in Cranbury, NJ. Margaret was born in New Brunswick, NJ., on August 11, 1933.
Margaret was known as Peggy to her family and friends. She was employed by Middlesex County Detention Center as a Juvenile Detention Supervisor, until her retirement of January 1, 1994.
Peggy retired and moved to Hadlock Pond in West Fort Ann, NY and lived there until 2005 when a flood took everything. Then moved back to Highland Park, NJ where she called home until her death.
Peggy loved to cruise and take trips, she loved her dogs and was happy to breed them for family members to enjoy them as much as she did. Peggy loved country music. But everybody knew she loved Elvis Presley and his music most of all.
Predeceased by her husband Edward Walter Wright, her parents Harry and Helen (Duffy) Bennett, two brothers Harry and Robert Bennett and a sister Claire Kocis.
She is survived by a younger brother and his wife John and Evon Bennett, three daughters and three sons-in-law Barbara and Ricky Brown, Alice and William Orchard, Helen and Ralph Stanzione, a son and daughter-in-law William and Marion Wright, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
A Visitation will be held from 10-11:30AM on Friday April 1, 2022 at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction 08852. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30AM on Friday April 1, 2022 at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction 08852. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery 500 Somerset Street, New Brunswick 08901.
