Obituary of Lucy F. Donnantuono
Lucy F. Donnantuono, 95, of Monmouth Junction, NJ died Thursday, March 24, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Staten Island, NY. She has been a resident of Monmouth Junction since 1995. Lucy was a parishioner of St. Cecilia’s Church, Monmouth Junction and a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
She was a kind and caring woman who never asked for anything, was always happy with what she had and had a loving smile that brought calm to everyone she met. Throughout her life she enjoyed cooking, sewing, her women’s bowling league, swimming, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and vacationing with family.
Daughter of the late Vincent J. Soro and Angela (Ullo) Soro, wife of the late Albert N. Donnantuono, mother in law of the late John DeSilvio and Ronald Ury, sister of the late Anthony Soro, Vincent J. Soro Jr, Carmen Cacciola, Bona DeFalco. She is survived by her brother Joseph Soro Sr, her 3 daughters and a son in law Donna and Frank Morelli, Linda DeSilvio, Lucy C. Donnantuono, 5 grandchildren and their spouses Jennifer and Gene Riego De Dios, Susanne and Jonah Weinshenker, Jacqueline and Richard Marinello Jr, John and Jacqueline DeSilvio, Nicholas and Alexandra DeSilvio, 8 great grandchildren Giada Lucia, Giulia Antonia, John Vincent, Viviana Maria, Celia Maria, Emilia Lucia, Paul Albert, Giavanna Nydia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and a special and loving extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am on Monday, April 4, 2022 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park, NJ 08824. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852
