Obituary of Francis Ianno

Francis (Frank) Ianno, 93, of Kendall Park passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at home in Kendall Park. While born in Manhattan, NY, and raised in Brooklyn, Frank has resided in Kendall Park for 62 years.

He began his early career as a chemist. Unsatisfied, he attended night classes for many years achieving a law degree and license to practice law in the state of Virginia. Applying Law and chemistry, he worked for FMC Corporation in Princeton, NJ as a patent attorney. While at FMC, he became a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. His job-related travels included visiting chemical plants in Spain. These visits generated some lifetime friendships.

Frank attend St Augustine of Canterbury in Kendall Park and was a core member of the body of Christ prayer group at the Cathedral of St Francis of Assisi, Metuchen diocese.

Frank enjoyed fly fishing and fly tying. In earlier days he could be seen practicing his fly casting in the yard. He traveled with his wife, whom he adored and enjoyed camping with his family, dining out and having that cup of espresso!

Predeceased by his wife Elaine Ianno, parents Placido and Martha Ianno, and brothers Chris and Dominic.

He is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law Linda-Ann and Paul Kessler, Lisa and Sean Nunley, two sons and two daughters-in-law Frank and Cathy Ianno and Philip and Maryanne Ianno, and twelve grandchildren David, Daniel, Michael, Tim, Jeffrey, Stephen, Matthew, Christopher, Joseph, Peter, Thomas, Rachel, eight great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:15AM on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park. A Private Entombment was held at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
