Domenico “Mimmo” Sciallis, 70, of Kendall Park passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at NYU Langone Hospital. Domenico was from Sarezzano, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1968.
Mimmo loved his family and loved to cook. Nothing made him happier than feeding people and sitting around the table with friends and family. Soccer was his passion, he coached the South Brunswick Lightning for ten years and was a diehard Juventus fan. He also enjoyed baseball, and could be found sitting outside on warm summer nights listening to the Yankees on the radio. A true rock & roller at heart, he loved listening to Eros Ramazzoti, The Rolling Stones, and The Police. Dom was a generous, caring, proud, accepting, and loving man who will be missed by many.
Predeceased by his father Gennaro Sciallis;
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Anne (O'Brien) Sciallis, his mother Caterina (Basile) Sciallis, a son and significant other, Patrick Sciallis and Anky Chan, two daughters and significant others, Liza Sciallis and Brent Whitmire, Allison Sciallis and Michael Burch, a brother and sister-in-law Gino and Sonia Sciallis, three sisters and two brothers-in-law Tina and Tim Dyck, Anna Sciallis and Ron Sanchez, Teresa Sciallis, nephew Andrea Rolando and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved him dearly.
