My name is Dominic Como and I just read the amazing testament to Leonard. I am so sad for his wife and family it's hard to put in words. I'm not sure if this will reach them being a week from Leonard's burial but I wanted to extend my deepest condolences. And to his mom and dad the two nicest people on this planet I wanted to say what a great job they did raising such a fine son, father and husband. I haven't seen or talked to Leonard in 30 years having moved from NJ that long ago and met and raised a family with my wonderful wife in South Carolina. Over those years I would sometimes think of and remember Leonard. Generally when watching football and noticing someone playing who reminded me of him and not just in ability. More so when someone displayed incredible sportsmanship and class. Like the recent retirement of Drew Brees the incredible quarterback of the Saints. I remember trying to figure out who he reminded me of, then when Drew announced his retirement on television it dawned on me and brought back memories of my teammate for years on the football field Lenny Riccardi. Lenny always displayed class, dignity, respect for teammates and opponents, and incredible sportsmanship. I wish I could have been one tenth as smart and good of a teammate as he was. I will never forget him as I'm sure everyone that knew him will not. I pray his family and friends will be alright and offer my help if ever needed. And if ever the Riccardi family finds themselves in Columbia, South Carolina please look me up or call me 803 513 6146 my doors will be open to you. Deepest sympathy, Dominic Como

Len and I were neighbors and childhood friends until drifting apart in High School. Very sorry to hear about Len’s passing; however, happy to know we are brothers in Christ. Please know Len was a good friend from an early age who now resides with our Heavenly Father. I count that a successful life. Rob Clarkson

Len was my colleague at Cosette for close to two years.
He was very passionate about finance, faith, and family. His positive attitude was very contagious.
He was a skilled professional and a great mentor for the entire finance team and brought completeness to our leadership team.
This world is a little less bright without him. May your soul rest in peace Len.

My heartfelt condolences to the Riccardi family. I am deeply saddened and will miss Len. I had the privilege of working with Len at Cosette Pharma. He was my mentor and guide and I always looked up to him with gratitude and appreciation. I have learnt a lot from him, but the most valuable thing I have learnt is to cherish your family. I will always remember him with fond memories.

I am so sorry to hear about the untimely death of Leonard. Please accept my sorrow felt condolences. Len and I worked for a while at Ferrero USA in Somerset. He was a tireless worker and in my association found him to be a deeply religious man and devoted father to his 4 children. Today, I requested a memorial Mass to be said in his honor at my parish church. I wish the best to Len's surviving family and hope that they will be strengthened by their faith to accept God's plan for him.

We moved to the house next to Len and Laura almost at the same time they moved to this new development of Kendall Park almost 23 years ago. We were very fortunate to have a next door neighbor like Len and Laura. Len was a very gently person, always with a smile and always ready to help. It is heartbreaking to hear about Len's passing. I saw him working on the lawn or on the driveway even few weeks ago and we waved each other.
My wife Aruna and I along with our kids who are equally shocked and saddened on Len's untimely passing, extend our deep sympathy to Laura and the family. May Len's soul rest in peace.
It will be very hard for us to believe that Len is not there any more.
Sincerely,
Tapas, Aruna, Aditya and Ishani Sanyal

I am very saddened to hear about Len. My Prayers are with Riccardi family. I worked with Len for 17 years. No matter what, he always had a smile on his face. He was a great manager and mentor. I probably would not be where I am today without his leadership, patients and confidence, for that I will be always thankful. He always talked about the Love of his beautiful family. He will surely be missed. Rest in Peace Len.

My deepest condolence to the Riccardi family in these trying times. I worked with Len at Cosette Pharma and very quickly discovered that besides being very skilled at what he did, he loved his family, had deep faith and a great sense of humour. Even in the most stressful and trying conversations we've had, and there were many of those, I walked away grateful for his calm and grace. He was the epitome of a good manager, carrying his stress and burdens cheerfully and always supporting his team at all times. He was taken from us too soon, but I know that he is in peace. I am devastated at the loss of my friend, colleague and dear human. My prayers are with Laura and the kids.

Certainly, God calls us all to holiness, but the paths are different for each one of us. Along the way, God surprises us with very special people that in time become valuable companions in the journey like our beloved Len his wonderful wife Laura, and their kids Jane, Maryann, Peter, and Nicky. Friends that become Familia! the reflection of God’s love sharing their thirst to be holy. 2009, Cornerstone II was the beginning of brotherhood for me a journey to grow in faith together. Then. Len, our Master Carpenter, always opened the doors of his home and heart for many brothers in our Parish. As well as Laura for Mother Circle. There are many great and blessed memories that our family keeps with The Riccardi Family. We truly give thanks to God for blessing us with such a wonderful companion, an unconditional friend, an uncle for our Marias, an example of unreserved love to our Lord. His motto Fiat Voluntas Tua is the call for all in these moments of profound grief. Our hearts and prayers are with our beloved Laura, and the kids! Mio Fratello your testimony of Christian life gives us peace and consolation to know that you are now close to God, together with our Blessed Mother Maria and St. Joseph. Today we would like to recite the same words which once we said goodbye:
A faithful friend is priceless, there is no way to estimate its value. A faithful friend is priceless, there is no way of estimating his worth. A faithful friend is a balm of life, which those who fear the Lord find. He who fears the Lord directs his friendship well, for as he is, so will his friend be also. Sirach 6: 14-17

I am so grateful I had the privilege of getting to know Len even just a little bit, through his daughter and one of my greatest friends, Jane. Whenever you all came over, our place always felt more blessed. Whenever I was around Len and Laura, my heart, soul and stomach were always full! Len’s immense love for God, Laura, his family, and souls was tangible and I know his goodness and purity of heart will reverberate throughout all of eternity — especially through Laura, Jane, Maryann, Peter and Nicky and those they touch. May you all be comforted in the days ahead and may we all be inspired to carry on his motto of “Fiat Voluntas Tua” every day.

Len Riccardi was a fantastic guy and a great family man: loving husband to his wonderful wife Laura and devoted Dad to their amazing children, Jane, Maryann, Peter and Nicholas. I knew Laura before Len, but I came to know him after their wedding, and I was privileged to become good friends with him over the years as I visited the family every summer and holiday season and watched their kids grow up. A regular guy who enjoyed sports, woodworking and beer, Len had a great sense of humor and a huge, infectious love and enthusiasm for life, which was evident to me in all his interactions with the family and everything he did. He was a very kind, generous and deeply devout man who gave a lot of himself to help and support his church. Len has been taken from us way too soon, but his legacy will long endure through his good works, the rich memories he left, and the indelible impact he had on his beloved family, friends, co-workers, the church and the community.

How deep a soul touches you and enlightens you does not depend on the quantum of time, but the quality of time spent together. Len was my colleague at Cosette for a year and a half and became a very dear friend. We would often talk about faith, work-life balance, and most importantly family. Even when there was any divergence of views on any topic, it was always very enriching and without any negativity. Laura, you were love of his life and his children meant a world to him. In the first monthly meeting of our team at Cosette that he attended; he projected a slide show that described him as a family man with multiple passions including carpentry. That inspired me to do the same later and encourage other members of the team to talk about their lives outside work. He was a skilled professional and a great mentor. He brought completeness to our team. I am really going to miss always heart-warming conversations with him. May your soul rest in peace, my dear friend!

Dear Laura and Jane and Nick and Peter and Maryann: I had the privilege of knowing Len as a fellow parishoner for many years now. When we joined the beautiful Carmelite community of Our Lady of Mt Carmel and Little Therese, our relationship deepened. With Laura as our Formation Director, Len, Judi, Deanna and I began the ascent of Mt Carmel together. We shared intimately and deeply about our relationship with God and the saints and how to bring that as a prayer into this world. Len was so very holy.....a true saint! His love for Saint Joseph and the Holy Family...just wow. And he modeled it daily. The love shared between Laura and Len was palpable to those around them. Well beautiful brother (Joseph of the Holy Family)....you have made the final ascent up Mt. Carmel. We will take care of Laura and the children as we all await to join you one day. Send us blessings and intercessions from heaven. I know you are there my brother! Love, Donna and Paul Sichta (Therese Joseph of the Divine Mercy)

I have no words for this is something hard for me to understand. There is no better man that I have known. Len and Laura were critical to my formation and conversion to the Catholic faith. I enjoyed our many conversations in our groups at Carpenters and Cornerstone. There were many private conversations as well where we discussed family life and exchange ideas on how our boys were turning out. Len asked me to go with him to test drive a Toyota For Peters first car ( I had more clutch experience) . Len was a true friend and his family as well , I know there faith will carry them through. I know God must have needed a very special soul to take him so soon. God speed my brother

From Chris Igwebe
One thing for sure is that Len helped me a lot on my faith journey to love God more through different Church ministries at St. A's .
I became an Usher through him . When i met Len the first time at the church ,the first thing he said to me one sunday morning after mass in his gentle voice was " Hello, would you like to become an Usher "lol, which i gladly accepted fifteen years ago and since then till today, we bonded like brothers and our friendship has since then been a special blessing to me.
Then he invited me to attend Cornerstone Retreat which entirely changed my life and during that retreat I get to truly know this great man more, get to know him better which also had an impact in my journey of faith to know and love Christ more.
Next , He and Laura invited me to VITA which again made a great impact in my faith journey.
This great man of faith was a well rounded wonderful good person , a great person to be around with . I experienced his great friendship also because he treats people nice with respect regardless of there background or where they came from , just a great man . His smiles alone will make you more comfortable to be around him.
The last time I spoke with my good friend was on Dec 5th on a Sunday afternoon when i attended a wedding in NJ and we had a blast over the phone discussing many topics as usual and I remembered that I was facing a little challenge at the time and he advised me to pray and ask one specific saint for his intercession on my behalf and I did that , within a week , all was normal and my issue that I thought was a big problem was resolve as if I didn’t had that issue in the first place and since then, that particular saint has become my Patron Saint
On Dec 21st I texted him to tell him the good news about our last discussion and that’s when he told me that he was in hospital and sick. Glad I still kept the text message he sent from his sick bed when he had the strength then to text, I guess that was during the early stage of his sickness .
All I got to say is what a privilege , joy , honor and blessing to get to know this wonderful man and his unequivocal faith in God.
May your soul rest in perfect peace of the Lord my great friend and I will truly miss you, until we meet again, continue to rest in peace of the Lord. Amen

As we mourn, Len is surrounded by beauty, worshipping at the throne of The Lamb.
His time on earth was also surrounded by beauty.
Each Sunday it was impossible to miss it at St. Augustines. A beautiful wife and four beautiful children that we watched grow into beautful adults.
Those lucky enough to get to know the Riccardi's (even on a casual basis) came to understand that the light shinning through them came from the The One True Light of The World. May The Light sustain you through these days, and lead you to continued beauty in this life, until that beautiful day when we are all united with The Father.
