"Unk," as we six nephews and nieces knew him, was a frequent guest in our home as we were growing up. A few of his characteristics from my earliest recollections are that he loved horse racing and cigars, and always addressed our mother (Marian) with, "Hey, Mar!" But mostly I recall that he was a humble, good-hearted uncle who gave us his time generously. He was comfortable to be around and seemed to genuinely like being around us, although we were six kids and I'm certain that got old, he never showed any impatience that I recall. After moving away in my twenties, my interactions with Unk were limited to holidays for the most part, but I still enjoyed his company very much. He and his wife Betty were very welcoming and friendly to my wife Mariann in our early years together, and Mariann and I always appreciated that. Gonna miss you Unk. See you again on the other side!

Uncle Bob (“Unk”) was always at our family functions and every holiday when we were young. He and Betty continued to join us for holidays when we were all adults and were generous to our kids. Beyond relation, we had some things in common. He told me that he put the roof on ESDP (I started my JNJ career at the plant on US 1 in North Brunswick) when it was built. Bob and Betty were married by the same judge that married me exactly one year later, so we share an anniversary. And we had many Yankee discussions, both being fans.
He was a faithful visitor to his sister (my Mom) after my Dad passed. And once she passed he would pick up the phone and call to check in on all of our family members frequently. Rest Peacefully Unk. We will miss you.

Bob, or Unk as we knew him was always such a big part of our family growing up. He lived with us for awhile, and was always willing to help our Dad with repairs or things around the house. After he moved out, he took care of Gram and her house, doing chores and helping out, and just making sure she wasn't lonely. Even after he married Betty, they would always go there to keep her company, playing cards (probably pinochle) and having snacks. He was the one who took me to the hospital when my water broke before having my son when I couldn't reach my husband. He and Betty were always good to all of our kids (his grandnieces and nephews)and after Betty passed and his sister (our Mom) was in a nursing home, he would drive all the way to Bridgewater to visit her every week. All memories of childhood had to always include him, and we will all miss him. I hope he is happy and at peace. We will all see you again one day, love, Cindy

All of us at St. Augustine's will miss Bob greatly. He and Betty were long time parishioners and very faithful worshipers.
I know just where Bob loved to sit on Saturday evenings for the vigil Mass. He was always there early spending time in prayer before Mass began. Bob and Betty were also devoted attendees to the Stations of the Cross every lent, again always in their favorite spot. I know Bob missed Betty dearly after her death, but now will be with her again forever. Bob was a good and humble man who will be sorely missed. May Almighty God welcome Bob into His heavenly kingdom.
