Deborah L. Glace-Wnek, aged 74, of Wilkes Barre, PA passed away at her home in Princeton, NJ on September 11, 2021. Predeceased by her parents John and Ruth (Benninger) Glace, Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Nicholas; daughter Kate Wnek and daughter in-law Francesca Avitto; brother John R. Glace and his wife, Diane, Cousins Rae and Frank Caputo, Sandra Glace of PA and many second and third cousins.
Deborah was a devoted mother, wife and proud educator for 37 years. She began and ended her teaching career at Monmouth Junction Elementary School, starting at the age of 22 and retiring the summer after she turned 59 years old. She taught generations of families throughout her career and touched the lives of many. While she enriched the lives of her students, she also acted as a mentor to many of her cooperating teachers and colleagues. Always having a welcoming energy, she was someone who would always greet you with a beautiful smile and warm, loving hug. Whenever in her presence, she would make you feel as if you were the only person in the room.
In her free time she was an avid reader, reading the newspaper every morning, to mysteries and books about her favorite artists and painters. One of her favorite places was by the ocean. Wildwood Crest was a destination she would make every summer with her family until she could no longer travel. Being by the ocean with the ones she loved was happiness to her. She exuded love and she was loved by all that knew her.
Friends and family may gather on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Jct., NJ 08852. Words of Remembrance will be held at 2:30pm in the funeral home.
