James C. 'Jim' Hayden Tool-and-die maker, family man, longtime Sayreville resident, 86 James C. (Jim) Hayden, 86, of Monroe Township died Wednesday, July 22, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in South Amboy, he resided in Sayreville for over 42 years, moving to Brick and then to Monroe Township in 2020. James worked for 25 years as a tool and die maker with General Motors. After retiring he went on to work at Blonder Tongue Labs for an additional 12 years. He was an avid gardener.
Son of the late Eugene and Gertrude (Kierst) Hayden, Brother of the late Eugene, Joseph, John, Gerald , Ronald Hayden, Gertrude Bowie, he is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joan A. (Upperman) Hayden, a son and daughter in law Mark Hayden and Jane Holzman, 3 daughters and 3 sons in law, Joan N. Hayden and Edgar Krois, Virginia and John Phillips, Carol and Stewart Cirina, sister in law Arlene Hayden, brother in law John Upperman, 4 grandchildren and their spouses Jamie and Jason Krzyzanowski, Caitlin Krois and Samuel Hazan, Holly Krois, Emma Hayden,3 great grandchildren Kadence, Brayden, Mia James and many nieces and nephews.
