Obituary of Mary G. Vonderhaar

Mary G Vonderhaar (Mickey), 87, of Monroe died Monday, June 14, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, she became a resident of North Brunswick from 1959 before moving to Princeton then to Monroe in 2014.

 

Mickey was deeply involved in the parish of St. Augustine of Canterbury in Kendall Park NJ. She was a founding member, trustee, secretary to both school principal, and secretary to Fr. Reilly. After retiring in 2003 from Johnson and Johnson, New Brunswick with over 30 years of service,  she then volunteered for 17 years with 16,461 volunteer hours at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

 

Daughter of the late Paul H. and Gertrude (Luepke) Mollman, sister of the late Paul Mollman and late Sr. Ann Paul OP, wife of the late Robert Vonderhaar, mother of the late Catherine Skrocki. She is survived by 3 sons Robert Vonderhaar, Thomas Vonderhaar, James Vonderhaar and wife Bridget, daughter Barbara Ann Vernborg and husband Scott, her grandchildren  Erin, Danielle, Jennifer and Jimmy Skrocki, William, Brianna and Helen Vonderhaar, and Jason, Justin and Ashley Vernborg, plus  7 great grandchildren.

 

 

The funeral will be held 9:00 am on Monday, June 21, 2021 from the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, St. Augustine of Canterbury Church 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park.

Friends may call on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 2:00 –5:00 pm at the funeral home.
