Te was born in China and had a phenomenal memory and a great spiritual strength. Te Peng passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Merwick Care Center in Plainsboro. She was 91. Born in Hunan, China, she came to the United States in 1995 to join her daughter in Brooklyn, NY, later moved to NJ. She resided in Massachusetts before moved back to Plainsboro, NJ November 2016.
While living in China, Te was a librarian. She had a phenomenal memory and memorized the entire catalogue of the library. In retirement, she turned her talent in memorizing the ancient poems. She kept the habit of diary writing for many years.
Surviving is her husband Hairong Liu of New Jersey, her sons Fangming Liu, Beiqing Liu, both of New Jersey, and Yicun Liu of China, her daughters Lina Liu of Massachusetts, and Letian Liu of New Jersey, and grandchildren Eden Lin, Kristen Lu, Yi Liu, Jeffrey Lu, Charlie Lu, Tristan Liu.
