I lit this candle for you Babe. Its been 1 month and its not any easier living without you. I am trying my best to do all the things you would have wanted me to do and handle things they way you would have wanted me to handle them. I just miss you so much and its hard to live without you. I miss everything about you and Barkley does too. He is still waiting for you to come home. I love you so much and will continue to pray to you everyday my love.

Dad there’s so much to say but never enough time. I feel Just the same as Nick in knowing that we both have made you very proud. You taught me so much that you didn’t realize, that has helped me to truly become who I am today. I’ll keep staying the course, taking care of Heather and Jocelyn the best I can and use what I’ve learnt from you to keep moving forward in my career. We will all miss you very much and I will never forget the times we spent together. I hope you’re up there with grandpa watching down on us and maybe you can help Mom win the damn lottery after all this time. It’s a sad and happy time. I’m just happy you had the chance to see Both Nick and myself get married to the women that we love very much, have kids and make you proud. Cheers to you in heaven. “There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains “ Dave , We were so blessed and thankful that you were a part of our family , you had such a kind soul, and always had a way to make the kids laugh. You were quiet but yet always had a smile on your face . I will miss you joking with my sister. Dad, I know I’ve made you proud. You will be forever missed and never forgotten. You’ve given me all the tools I could ever need to fix any situation in life and have taught me well all the talents and knowledge you learned along your path in life. I will do my best to honor you by passing on your legacy to my boys as your father has to you and you have to me. You always told me before we ended conversations “good talking to ya Nick”, but it was always GREAT talking to you dad. I love you very much and I know you will forever watch over us and bring smiles to our faces. Especially when we think about your story telling, lol. You were a true warrior in the battle of life.

Dear Joanna and family...in the short time I've known Dave, he became a good friend to me. He would listen and laugh, make intelligent observations, and give sound advice. I know, and saw, how much he loves you Jo, and his sons and grandchildren. His relationships with others said a lot about his character. He is, and was, a good man. I will miss "Bid Daddy" very much and am saddened I won't be able to sit with him on the porch chatting, or just being quiet and enjoying his company.
