Albert H. Renk, Jr., 82, born in Union, NJ and a resident of Monmouth Junction, NJ for over 60 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2021 with his family by his side at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Albert was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, adored being “Poppie” to his 3 grandsons, and had a generous, kind heart. He was full of life and enjoyed camping trips in his RV with his family, cooking, restoring old cars, riding his tractor, and riding his motorcycle in his younger years. Albert served in the US Air Force for 4 years in the early 1960s. He worked as a tool and die maker, and also for his family’s trucking company for several years. He retired from Dow Jones in 2006 where he worked as a machinist in the Wall Street Journal press room for over 25 years.
Son of the late Albert H. Renk Sr. and Anne Renk (Hess), he is predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Marie and Milton VanderStel, his brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Phyllis Renk, and his brother Edward Renk. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Claire Renk, his daughter Nadene Shearstone, son-in-law John Shearstone, 3 grandsons, Collin, Brenden and Declan, a brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Dorothy Renk of Milford, DE, a sister Carlene Thomas of Northport, FL, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Philip and Rita Lopa of Middlesex, NJ. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and was loved and will be missed by many.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, funeral services and burial will be private.
