Obituary of Peter S Bongiorno
Peter S. Bongiorno, 95, died peacefully in his home in Kendall Park on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Born in Leonforte, Sicily, he immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 2. He is predeceased by his parents Antonino and Concetta Bongiorno, sister, Lucia Mollica and husband Anthony Mollica. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Florence V. Bongiorno, children; Linda and Patrick Teeter, Karen and Ralph Bertucci, Patricia and Todd Peters, Peter Bongiorno and fiancé Donna McKenzie, and Connie Gutowski and John A. Gutowski (predeceased), 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. Upon returning home, he began his lifelong career in Banking and Finance. He was a member of Saint Augustine of Canterbury Church and a member of various organizations that supported charitable causes and focused on serving the community.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Saint Augustine of Canterbury Church 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park. Following will be a private entombment at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Jamesburg, NJ. (Due to Covid 19 Restrictions)
