John Francis Maguire, Jr., 74, of Plainsboro passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, November 28, 2020.
John was born in Tenafly, lived in Dumont, and settled in Plainsboro in 1978. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and worked as an Accountant for many years in the steel industry. John married Kathryn Rita Grewer in 1998. He was a proud Marine and Grandfather, was a NY Giants and Mets fan, enjoyed reading, and watching the Western Channel.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn Rita (Grewer) Maguire; stepson Lewis Dean; stepdaughter Cortney Farrell and her partner Matt Mucci; twin grandchildren Morgane and Fiona; brother and sister-in-law Tom and Janet Maguire; nieces Erin and Kelly; and numerous cousins; he is predeceased by his parents John F. Maguire and Marie Bruno; and his son-in-law Tom Farrell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Queenship of Mary Church, 16 Dey Road, Plainsboro, NJ 08536.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Marine Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
