Gail E. (Curtis) Fildes, 63, of Kendall Park was born on October 21, 1956 and passed away on Friday May 8, 2020 at home peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and son, after a long and courageous battle with breast and pancreatic cancer. Born in South Plainfield, NJ, later moved to and went to school in Highland Park, NJ. In 1979, while working at Lithoid Printing, met and fell in love with her husband of 40 years David.
She is survived by David and son Dale, brother George Curtis of Columbia, SC, sister Nancy Bradley of Tobbyhanna, PA, sister Kim Enlow and brother Anthony Enlow of Chesapeake, VA.
She is predeceased by her parents George and Irene (Pearson) Curtis, sisters Elaine, Barbara, Linda and brother Bruce.
Gail worked for many years all around South Brunswick, Grand Union, Party Fair, Stop and Shop and Burger King. Gail enjoyed making people laugh, the beach, gardening, scratch tickets, reading, Game of Thrones and most of all her family and friends. Now is the perfect time that I can show everyone exactly how I feel. I know you all love me dearly and I love you guys as well. I just want you to know, I’m no longer in pain, no more suffering. I am home now, It’s a girl’s party going on up here, and of course you know I have everyone laughing.
It was amazing seeing mom, my sisters and brother. I was sad to leave my husband and my son, my brothers, sisters, sisters in law Debbie, Cady, Amy Kopitski and Donna, my brothers in law Tim Cady, Jimmy Kopitski, Wayne and Hank, as well as my many nieces and nephews and host of cousins and friends. But, do not cry for me, I am fine. I will be waiting for you on the other side.
“I love you always and forever”
Cremation was private. Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
