Obituary of Tamara Alane Hartman Zold
Tamara Alane Hartman Zold, 52, of Onalaska, WI, passed away on January 23rd, 2020, in her home. Tammy was born in New Brunswick, NJ, to Alice and Terrence Hartman Sr. on December 29th, 1967. She grew up in Somerset, NJ, and graduated from Franklin High School. She lived in Virginia Beach, VA for thirteen years where she worked as a senior inside sales representative at United Rentals. Tammy loved sports, especially the New York Yankees, the New York Jets, and women’s college softball. She had a great love of children and also loved gardening, sunflowers, music, social media, and animals (especially her cat Tiny). Tammy is preceded in death by her brother Todd Hartman and her father Terrence Hartman Sr. She is survived by her daughters Alexis and Madeline Zold; her brothers Terrence Jr., Troy, and Thomas Hartman; her sisters Tracy, Tara, and Trina Hartman; her mother Alice Hartman; her companion Lee Barton, Lee’s children Emily and Joshua Barton, Emily’s husband and son; her ex-husband Michael Zold; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and loved ones. Tammy had many friends and people who loved her and treasured her sense of humor, intelligence, lively spirit, and deep devotion. She was the best short stop we knew, and nothing got past her (she was even better than the men!). Tammy’s entertaining Facebook posts will be truly missed as well as her numerous Words with Friends games. She loved having long phone conversations with her “momma” and she loved going to Long Beach Island, NJ, and spending time with her family in the summer. She also loved fishing with Lee and the snowy winters in Wisconsin. Tammy’s spirit will live on in our hearts forever and we will always cherish all the memories we share together. Funeral services will be held at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home in Monmouth Junction, NJ, on January 31st, 2020. Visitation will be from 4pm-6pm and the funeral service will be from 6pm-7pm officiated by Emily Barton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “RedRover: Bringing Animals from Crisis to Care.” There will be a repast on Saturday, February 1st, 2020, at the Franklin Eagles in Somerset, NJ, at 2pm. Please bring any cherished memories or mementos that you have of Tammy so that we can celebrate her beautiful life.
