Obituary of Joseph T. DeLuca

Joseph T. “Joey” DeLuca, 51, of Kendall Park died Monday, October 28, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of New Brunswick.  Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided most of his life in South Brunswick.  Joe was the owner-operator of JDL Electrical Contracting, Kendall Park.

He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, the Knights of Columbus, Breakfast Ministry and Cornerstone. He was a baseball coach for South Brunswick Little League and a Travel Coach. Joey was selfless always trying to help others.

Son of the late Carmela Carpino DeLuca, he is survived by his father Thomas J. DeLuca, a son Giovanni DeLuca,  a daughter Sofia DeLuca, 2 sisters and a brother-in-law Elizabeth A. DeLuca, Maria A. and  Nick Zappia, nephew Nicholas Zappia, niece Claudia Zappia, his girlfriend Serafina Stoddard and her daughter Alyssa Stoddard.

The funeral will be held 9:00 am on Monday, November 4, 2019 from the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am on Monday, November 4, 2019, St. Augustine of Canterbury Church 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park.

Committal Services will follow in the Holy Cross Burial Park.

Friends may call on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
