Michael P. Duca, 70, of Dayton died Thursday, August 29, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Beaverdale, Pa, he was a lifelong South Brunswick resident. He was a United States Veteran proudly serving in the Marines. Michael retired as a Sergeant in 2001 with over 30 years of service with the South Brunswick Police Department. After his retirement he served as the Municipal Court Bailiff in South Brunswick for over 8 years. He was a member of the FOP Lodge 51 and an avid hunter.
Son of the late Peter A. and Elizabeth (Chalkey) Duca, grandfather of the late Anthony Jacobson, brother of the late Helen Schenck, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joanne (Sumski) Duca, a daughter and son in law Lauren and Aaron Jacobson, step son Gary Flanagan, 2 brothers Joseph Duca, Albert Duca, 2 granddaughters Ava Jacobson and Rachel Flanagan.
Friends may call on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
