Inara G. Matiss, 82, of North Port, FL died Monday, February 25, 2019 at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center of Plainsboro. She was with her family. Born in Priekule, Latvia she resided most of her life in New Jersey before moving to North Port, Fl, in 2009.
Daughter of the late Karlis and Marija (Peics) Zupa, wife of the late Valdis Avots and Leo Matiss, sister of the late John Zupa, she is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter along with their spouses, Andrew E. Avots (Christine), Gunars Avots (Bridget), Anita Hordis (James), step-son Erik Matiss, step-daughter Zigrida Matiss Florio, brother in law Ivars Avots, 5 grandchildren Laura (Hordis) Feldner, Marta Avots, Andrew J. Avots, Greyson Avots, Evan Avots and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction.
Friends may call on Saturday, from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
