Phyllis E. Reil, 89, of Monroe Township died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Bear Creek Assisted Living, West Windsor. Born in Pierson, Iowa, she resided in Kendall Park before moving to the Clearbrook Community of Monroe Township in 2001. Phyllis worked for many years as a Teachers’ Aide in the Deans School in South Brunswick. She was a member of the Sand Hills Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder, and most recently a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church, where she had been an active participant in the Women’s Fellowship group. Through the years, Phyllis had also been a member of the South Brunswick Women’s Club and for many years she had volunteered at the Princeton Medical Center.
Daughter of the late Otis Charles and Genevieve (Northey) Grote, wife of the late Darrel D. Reil, she is survived by 3 sons Timothy Reil, Jeffrey Reil, Jonathan Reil, a daughter Sara Bate, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction, from 12 Noon until 1:30 pm. A short Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 pm. Entombment will be private in the Franklin Memorial Park.
