Obituary of Jacqueline O'Sullivan
Jacqueline Ruth O’Sullivan passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Penn Princeton Hospital at the age of 71 with her family by her side. She was born in New York City and raised in Bergenfield, NJ. She was a graduate of Valparaiso University earning a B.S. degree in Economics and English. She and her husband John lived in Fords, NJ before moving to Monmouth Junction 30 years ago.
Jacqueline was involved in the local Girls Scouts of America as a Troop Leader and Cookie Mother for South Brunswick Township. She was also active in the Middlesex County Republican Party as a Committee Woman in Fords and Monmouth Junction, NJ over the last 40 years. In addition, she was the Treasurer of the Middlesex County Women’s Republican organization. She was involved in her church as a Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher in the Lutheran Churches in Fords and Dayton, NJ.
Professionally, Jacqueline worked as a Project Manager in the IT field for over 45 years, starting as one of the first commercial Computer Programmers, recently she worked as a Project Manager. Jacqueline worked for organizations such as Pan Am, Bell Atlantic, and Verizon. She worked internationally in Italy, England, India, Czech Republic and Taiwan.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband John G. O’Sullivan in marriage for 45 years. She will be missed by her son Ryan O’Sullivan and his wife Claire, also by her daughter Kara and her husband Anthony Moretti. She will be remembered as a loving mother, dedicated wife and accomplished professional.
The viewing will be at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home at 616 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction, NJ on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 7 – 9 PM. Church service will be held the following day, on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11 AM at Christ the King Lutheran Church at 3330 Rt. 27, Kendall Park, NJ. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Monmouth Junction.
