Obituary of Joseph LoGiudice
Joseph LoGiudice, 83, of Plainsboro, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Joseph met his wife in 1956 and married in 1960 after serving two years in the army. The couple later moved to Roselle, NJ in 1964 where they lived and raised their three children for 28 years. He worked as a computer programmer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey for 38 years. Joseph was an active member at Saint Joseph the Carpenter’s Church where he volunteered with many school and church functions and committees. Some of these included being a member of the Knights of Columbus, a church usher and Eucharistic Minister, and a volunteer with the Boy Scouts. He participated in many other activities with his children which included coaching and umpiring softball and Little League games. Joseph was the Chairman of the Maintenance Committee for many years at Roselle Catholic High School where his sons attended. After raising their children, Joseph and his wife moved to Monmouth Junction, NJ where they resided for 25 years before moving to Plainsboro for the last 5 years of his life. Joseph was an avid model train enthusiast and was proud to be an American.
He is predeceased by his parents Francis and Rose (Lipuma) LoGiudice and sister, Sister Bridget Mary LoGiudice. Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan C. (Maguire) LoGiudice; son Joseph M. and daughter-in-law Doreen LoGiudice; son James F. LoGiudice; daughter and son-in-law Joan and Jeffrey Lewis; his seven grandchildren: Crystal, Victoria, Michael, Julia, Ashley, Caitlin, and Daniel; his brother and sister-in-law John and Mary LoGiudice and sister and brother-in-law Frances and Bob Pyne.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 9:00 - 10:30am at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at Queenship of Mary Church, 16 Dey Road, Plainsboro, NJ 08536. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
