Veronica Polacko, 96, of Monroe died Sunday, November 26, 2017 at St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Michalovce, Czechoslovakia she resided in Jersey City before moving to Edison in 1971 later moving to East Brunswick in 1989. Veronica was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Tirpak Mascenik, wife of the late Andrew Polacko, sister of the late Irene Lapkiewicz, she is survived by 2 daughters and a son in law Marlene A. and Gary Ensmann, Janice M. Pursley, a brother Joseph Mascenik, 4 grandchildren Erica, Lauren, Emily, Kimberly, 7 greatgrandchildren Zachary, Evelyn, Hayley, Shayne, Hendrix, Luke and Alessa.
The funeral will be held 9:00 am on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 285 Hamilton Street, Somerset.
Entombment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Park.
Friends may call on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 3-6 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Charity of Donor’s Choice.
