Dennis H Irlbeck, Sr., 84, of Princeton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Nov 12, 2022. He was surrounded by his family.
Born in Morgan, MN, Dennis resided in Renville, MN, until high school graduation. He was appointed to the United States Naval Academy in 1957, and graduated from Annapolis in 1961. Commissioned into the US Air Force, he spent the next two years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he attained degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
After completing tours of duty at Holloman, Air Force Base, New Mexico, Dennis entered Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey. He received his Juris Doctor degree, with a specialty in Patent Law, and was employed by RCA/GE until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of the Queenship of Mary Catholic Church in Plainsboro, NJ. An avid skier and golfer, Dennis also enjoyed biking and flying lessons.
Dennis is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Adella (Frank) Irlbeck of Renville, Minnesota.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Venneri), his sons, Dennis Jr and Scott, his daughter-in-law, Jennifer, three grandchildren, Christopher, Cayla, Allison Rose and a great grandson, Oakley.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at MJ Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Rd., Monmouth Junction, 08852. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Queenship of Mary Catholic Church at 16 Dey Rd. Plainsboro Township, 08536.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dennis’ memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s.
