Wayne Mark Sichel, 62, of Monmouth Junction, NJ passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, grew up in Howard Beach, NY, lived in Edison, NJ, and settled in South Brunswick, NJ. Wayne was a loving, supportive, and enthusiastic father, husband, uncle, brother, cousin, and friend. His daughters were his pride and joy. Wayne made everyone feel special and always celebrated those around him.
Wayne was the Director of Policy and Affairs at Bristol Myers Squibb. He worked for Bristol Myers Squibb for 25 years and after his retirement he was on the Board of Directors for CancerCare in New York City. Wayne volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and cherished all of the memories he had with his little brother. Wayne was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Los Angeles Rams.
Parents George and Beverly (Jassey) Sichel predeceased.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 33 years Joan (Schreiber) Sichel; daughters Rebecca and Hannah; sister Wendy Strum; brother Jeff Sichel; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wayne will truly be missed and always celebrated and remembered. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 3pm at Wayne’s home.
Memorial donations may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters, CancerCare, and other associations that helped Hannah, Rebecca, and Joan through this experience, the ALS Association, and Team Gleason.
