Anna K. Amaro, 86, of Kendall Park passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Irvington, NJ, she has been a resident of Kendall Park for over 60 years. Anna retired in 2003 from the South Brunswick Board of Education with over 25 years of service as a school bus driver for special needs children. She was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Church and the VFW 9111 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid baker, cook, and reader. She enjoyed playing penny poker and scrabble. Anna loved to crochet and made several blankets which she donated to children that were sick and in the hospital.
Daughter of the late John and Josephine (Semanek) Wardell, wife of the late Jacob Amaro, mother of the late George Amaro, and sister of the late Agnes Fiore and Josephine Hess. She is survived by a daughter and son in law Jacqueline and Kenneth Jenner of Robbinsville, daughter in law Janet Amaro of Lacey Twp., two sisters Nancy Fiore of Lyndhurst and Ruth Malcolm of Kearny, four grandchildren Kevin Amaro and his wife Christine, Frank Amaro and his wife Tiffany, Brian Amaro and his wife Jessica, and Fallon Jenner, three great grandchildren Braedyn, Madelynn, Julianna, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park. Burial will follow in the Franklin Memorial Park.
