Kharl Mikhael Anlacan Alinea, 49, of Kendall Park, New Jersey, entered into eternal rest on September 25th. Born in San Pablo City, Philippines, he lived in New Jersey for 45 years. He worked for the Public Service Electric and Gas Company for many years. As a young man, he was a communicant at Saint Paul Church in Princeton and later became a parishioner at Saint Augustine Church of Canterbury in Kendall Park. Kharl is survived by his parents, Norman C. Alinea and Teresita Edna Anlacan Alinea and by his children, Brendan Mikhael, Kyle Mikhael and Kassidy Marie. He is also survived by his aunts, Chita Alvero Anlacan, Marilyn Alinea Baldovino, Mari-sa Alinea Quimilat, his uncle Rene Cabrera Alinea and by his many cousins, other extended family members as well as by his professional colleagues, former classmates and friends.
Kharl’s life was marked with kindness and compassion and his devotion and loyalty to his family and friends knew no bounds. His sharp yet gentle wit and sense of humor touched the hearts of all those who knew him and even in those difficult moments that he had to endure because of his illness, his words and gestures reflected, his unwavering and abiding faith in God. His was a life he lived so that in the end, he could return all things to Christ. Omnia in Christo Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 30th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the MJ Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, New Jersey 08852. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Communion Prayer Service on Monday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church of Canterbury, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park, NJ 08824. Kharl will be interred at the Pines Memorial Garden in San Pablo City, Philippines at a later date.
