Louise was my dad's sister. He always spoke so fondly of their childhood together. When I think of my Aunt Louise it is her smile I think of first. She always seemed to have a smile on her face. She was one of those people who saw the positive in any situation. She always made you feel that she was so happy to see you. I have such warm memories of visiting their lovely home in Lakewood: the beautiful inground pool, and the awesome finished basement. Growing up in an apartment in NYC, I loved how big and roomy their house was. One of my best memories is of their dog, Pudgy, getting into the box of desserts our family had brought during one of our visits to Lakewood. We would always share a laugh whenever someone brought up the adventures of Pudgy and the pastries. I don't remember what we did for dessert that day, but since we were Italian, I am confident there more than enough desserts available!
Goodbye, Aunt Louise. Rest in peace. Know that you made our family richer by being part of it. We'll miss you. Love, your niece Jean.
