Helene Honey Harker

Helene Honey (Rubin) Harker of Kendall Park, NJ was born August 29, 1932 in the Bronx, New York to David Rubin and Eleanor (Sherman) Rubin. She was a graduate of Evander Childs High School and attended Hunter College before working various bookkeeping jobs while raising her three children. Her hobbies included ceramics, knitting, and word puzzles.


After the loss of her first husband, George Adler, she married the love of her life in August 1984, Frank Harker, who predeceased her in 2012. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Laurie Anne (Adler) Anderson, in 2015. She is survived by her brother: Myron Rubin (Gayle) of Jackson, NJ, sister-in-law: Susan Adler of Wyncote, PA., children: Diane Adler of Pompano Beach, FL; David Adler (Beth Hufnagel) of Elkridge, MD; Phyllis Harker of New Hartford, NY, grandchildren: Natalya Cherry (Paul), Karolyn Anderson, Ethan Anderson, Alexander Paff, Kathryn Paff, great-grandchild: Gregory Cherry, niece and nephew: Beth Kirschner and Matthew Rubin, and many friends, including neighbor Lisa Barsky.


A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Disabled American Veterans (dav.org).
